32nd Annual Arts In The Park In Blue Ridge Georgia

Memorial Day Weekend RAIN or SHINE, May 24th and 25th Downtown City Park, Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Bring your family and friends to the 32nd annual Arts in the Park Festival. Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the historic town of Blue Ridge, Georgia, hosts over 10,000 people for this event. Traditionally held on Memorial Day weekend, this festival features more than 150 fine arts, crafts and food booths. There are activities for children, artists’ demonstrations and special art exhibits inside the historic county courthouse adjacent to the park.

Redneck Home Schoolin’

It seems more and more these days that Home Schooling is becoming even more popular. My wife and I have several friends that either have children at home in school, or at least have tried it for a year or so and found it really wasn’t for them.
I know for my wife and I, we haven’t really given it a second thought for many reasons. I think one of the biggest reasons is simply the social aspect of missing out on the interaction with the other children. I realize that this can have both a positive and a negative impact on our children, but I feel it is a vital part of growing up in my opinion. Having said this, our jobs as parents is getting tougher and tougher. What are your thoughts on Home Schooling?

Another North Georgia Mountain Cabin Sold!

I consider myself very fortunate to have crossed paths with Mark and Wendy. They came into the office looking for their get-a-way to the North Georgia Mountains. After looking for several days, I was able to find them a Cabin For Sale in one of the most highly desirable developments in all of Fannin County, Mountain High. In 2007, my wife and I decided to invest in North Georgia Mountain Property. After many months of research we decided on the Blue Ridge, Georgia area. We researched the internet for several months to get an idea of available properties and visited Blue Ridge for a long weekend of “looking around”. Our intent was to explore the area ourselves and deal directly with a seller. After a day or two of “exploring”, we soon realized we needed help. We not only wasted a lot of time looking for properties, but we were sure to be missing properties that we did not pick up on the net. We decided to enlist a real estate professional for guidance. We stopped by Keller Williams Realty in Blue Ridge and that’s where we met Chad Lariscy. We realized from the start that Chad had all the characteristics we were looking for: Professionalism and Courtesy, Experience in the Blue Ridge Real Estate Market, Expert Knowledge of Blue Ridge and Surrounding Areas, Key Contacts in the Community, and Great Advise regarding location, areas of interest and potential rental management companies. Today, I want to address an issue that is present in both the North Georgia Mountains and in more urban areas. I often hear the question, “Do I need a real estate agent to buy a house?”.
The easy answer is “Yes, why don’t you go ahead and use an agent since it won’t cost you anything because the Seller pays the agent’s commission.” While that statement is true, an agent does more than simply find a Buyer a property that the Buyer wants to buy.

MDA Jerry’s Kid’s Benefit Ride Hosted By The Copperhead Lodge

ERA Three Rivers Realty are sponsoring a Mountain Ride to benefit MDA Jerry’s Kid’s.
Registration begins at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday May 17th at ERA Three Rivers Sales Office, and the Ride begins at 10:00 A.M.
The Ride will be Police Escorted to the Copperhead Lodge in Blairsville, GA. The Copperhead Lodge is a 40 Acre Biker’s Dream in the North Georgia Mountains. It is a resort built by motorcycle enthusiasts…for motorcycle enthusiasts. If you love to ride, then you love the mountains, and you are going to love the Copperhead Lodge. Please visit them on your next ride!
Georgia’s very own Amanda Lynn will be in concert at the Copperhead Lodge’s Outdoor Amphitheater on Saturday May, 3rd. The concert should start sometime around high noon.
After the concert, the ride will continue back to Ellijay for an end of the ride celebration at the River’s Edge Restaurant in Ellijay, GA.
This should be a great event, and it is certainly for a very good cause. Come on out and support MDA Jerry’s Kid’s, ERA Three Rivers, Mountain Country 103.9 FM, The Copperhead Lodge, Amanda Lynn, and the River’s Edge Restaurant.

No this was not taken in the North Georgia Mountains…or at least it wasn’t taken by me! I was however looking through the Northeast Georgia MLS the other day and found a Mobile Home on a poured foundation, haven’t ever seen that before!
