Absolute Incredible View's
My wife and I just closed on a cabin in the North Georgia Mountains, after a search of about 10 months and what must have been around 50 or so individual listings. Our Realtor, Chad Lariscy, was a tireless advocate for our concerns. Not that we had all of our ideas wrapped into a tight ball at the outset (though we THOUGHT we did), by any means. We learned as we went, and Chad constantly heard, and applied, our desires to the list of properties we would be shown. We visited the area several times over the months and Chad met us each time with a smile, a warm greeting, genuine care and spent the entire day with us as our intrepid guide. When we needed input, he provided it – always with grace and real concern – to help us to more clearly see what we had in our minds and hearts. When we arrived at the place, we knew it was the one.
We’re glad for the time we spent – not only in seeing all the variations that sellers had listed, but for being able to realize our own concepts which at times weren’t all that easy to interpret.
Chad did an outstanding job of representing not only Blairsville Realty specifically, but the Real Estate profession in general. We’re proud to know him – and would heartily recommend him to anyone on a similar search.
Furthermore, Chad will keep the clinical and detailed aspects of the market before you with insights such as those of which he writes in his articles in “The Front Porch View”.
Rick and Starr
Rick and Starr,
I had the best time with you guys! Rick, your “mountain slang” to this day keeps me rolling in the floor with laughter! Starr, we are going to get that Volley Ball court on the side of that mountain if it is the last thing we do.
I am truly blessed and grateful that the both of you have come into my life. This goes well beyond the scope of agency relationships. You are both my dear friends whom I will always remember as being one of “The Best” I have ever had the privilege of working with. I am looking forward to many, many great years ahead. I know you guys are going to fit right in with us “mountain folk!”
My family and I are eternally grateful!

Late last year I had the good fortune of meeting Dan Levin and his family from the Orlando Florida area. What a GREAT Family! I got to tell you, we had a blast in both looking for property and negotiating for it. To tell you the truth, I do not know which we had more fun doing.
Dan and his family purchased a Toccoa River Front Home along one of the most highly desired stretches of the River. Their River Home is located just outside of Blue Ridge, GA. in an area known as Fish Trap Trail. Named appropriately because of the 3 natural Indian Fish Traps along the Toccoa River . If you are not familiar with exactly what a Fish Trap is, it is where the Indians would stack the rocks along the river bed to form an arrowhead like shape to trap the fish so that they could spear them or catch the fish in a basket. These Fish Traps are still somewhat used today, except you use a Fly Rod instead of a Spear!
The Toccoa River Cabin is the perfect place for you or your family to come and stay while visiting the North Georgia Mountains. Even if you are not an avid Fly-Fisherman, it is a very warm and inviting Mountain Home. The Levin’s have really done a great job with the decor’ and preparing this River Front Home to accommodate various lifestyles and guests. You will enjoy River Front and Mountain Views and Relaxation! Take a Tour of the Toccoa River Cabin and see for yourself, it is a GREAT place to stay.
So, if you are a Fisherman and looking for a place to stay in Blue Ridge Georgia, you can’t ask for much better than this. Nearby is the infamous Curtis Switch Bridge. Anybody that Fishes knows where Curtis Switch is located. There are so many other Things To Do in and around Blue Ridge, and I am sure there is something for everyone.
Please be sure to check out what Dan, Linda, Alexander and Zachary had to say about me!
If you end up making a GREAT choice and plan your stay at The Toccoa River Cabin, please come back to The Porch and let everyone else know just how wonderful your stay was in the North Georgia Mountains!
Make it an AWESOME day!

Legal Advice from J. Byron Wyndham and Associates

I am often asked about the difference between buying property and living only in the mountains, and owning mountain property but living in a metropolitan area. Aside from the fresh air, bubbling streams, and beautiful mountain views, there are some other differences that people in the mountains take for granted, which visitors or part-time owners may not notice.
We have recently been enduring a terrible drought in Georgia. Virtually the whole state is under a watering ban that includes watering for yards, for washing cars, and for other personal purposes.
However, the ban does not apply to most of the mountain area of north Georgia. Why??
Most visitors are unaware that residents of the mountain areas in Georgia obtain their water from wells. We rely on the water table to supply us with water. Even though there may not be a government-issued watering ban, in times of drought wells can also be affected.
